Terrible Spaceship
Science fiction dance music. Original cinematic scores collide with vintage sci-fi, electronic beats, live instrumentation and synchronized video.
Movies for your ears. Dance music for your eyes.
Terrible Spaceship turns classic science fiction into cinematic, danceable live music. From Orson Welles' War of the Worlds to bargain-bin monsters, Fleischer-era Superman and the neon circuitry of TRON, each project rebuilds a piece of screen history as an original score.
Onstage, the music is synchronized with projected video, creating a show that sits somewhere between a concert, a film screening and a transmission from another planet.
“A mash-up of down-beat drums, radio static and electronic noise that sounds like DJ Shadow remixing an episode of ‘The Twilight Zone.’” Chicago Tribune
